Purpose: Whole body densitometry to determine body composition
Equipment: Body Pod device
Procedure: The Whole-Body Densitometry is the most accurate method of calculating body composition and body fat. Prior to testing:
- Don’t eat or drink for at least 3 hours (no food and no liquids).
- Don’t exercise for at least 3 hours.
- Wear form fitting clothing (spandex or lycra).
- Don’t apply any lotions or skin creams
- Don’t wear any jewelry.
- Note how much body hair the subject has.
