Medicine Ball Overhead Toss

Purpose: The overhead toss using a medicine ball assess power and stability of the upper and lower body while mimicking a dynamic movement

Equipment: Medicine ball


  • Instruct your client to stand facing a wall in a split stance, one foot forward and one behind.
  • Have them raise the medicine ball over-head.
  • Queue the client to explosively flex at the hip and throw the ball for maximal distance. 
  • Record the best 
  • The best of three attempts is recorded.
