Max-Time: Wall Sit

Purpose: The wall sit assessment is designed to test an isometric contraction and strength of the quadricep complex and hamstring complex. 

Equipment: A wall and stopwatch


  • Instruct the client to stand with posterior-side of body against a wall.
  • Keep their feet shoulder width apart, instruct the client flex their knees and hips at 90 degree angles. 
  • The client should maintain this position with feet flat on the floor. 
  • Record total time until form breaks.
